Delicious Prickly Pear Banana Smoothie

Prickly Pear Banana Smoothie

I bought these prickly pears a few months ago. I had put them in the freezer and didn’t get around to using them until now. I decided to create this nutritious, easy prickly pear banana smoothie recipe. It makes a very delicious smoothie indeed.

The prickly pear tends to separate from the water once you have had it in fridge, so it works better either really thick or really thin. If it is used fresh this will not be a factor.

Ingredients

1 Cup Prickly Pear Juice*
2 Ripe Bananas
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Tsp Mixed Spices

*Blend 2 Prickly Pears with 1 Cup water, strain. It could also be ran through a juicer, this will mean you have less liquid to work with, resulting in a thicker smoothie.

Instructions

Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour in a small bowl or glass. Decorate according to preference. Here I have added some raisins and basil to garnish.

Serving: 1 person (adjust the ingredients to serve more people).
