Burdock is popularly used to address a number of health conditions. Here are a few burdock-related herbal formula that may be used to improve specific and overall health.
Burdock Yellow Dock Red Clover
Ingredients
equal parts, Burdock Root, Yellow Dock Root and Red Clover Flower.
Instructions
Place burdock and yellow dock in 2 pints water; simmer down to 1 pint. Add the red clover flower, stir in, cover and let it steep until cool.
Dose: 1/3 to 1/2 cup at least 3 times daily, before meals.
Purpose: To enhance elimination through skin, kidneys and bowels; to provide hormone precursors, electrolytes and minerals.
Burdock Tea Combination
Ingredients
Combine equal parts, Burdock leaves, Marshmallow leaves and Yarrow.
Instructions
Add 2 teaspoons to each cup of boiling water. Infuse for 10 to 15 minutes.
Dose: 1 cup three times or more daily.
Purpose: To clear a liver abscess.

Burdock Plus
Ingredients
Combine equal parts Burdock root and Angelica root and 1/2 part Condurango bark
Instructions
Combine herbs, use 1 teaspoon to each cupful water and simmer on low to medium heat for 25 minutes.
Dose: 1/2 to 1 cup three times daily before meals.
Purpose: To address anorexia.
Burdock Dandelion Formula
Ingredients
equal parts Burdock Root and Dandelion Root
Instruction
Combine herbs, use 1 teaspoon to each cupful water and simmer on low to medium heat for 20 minutes.
Purpose: To address rheumatism, skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and similar, abscess and detox/cleanse.
The above combinations may also be taken in liquid extracts, tinctures or powders (capsules).
